I just want to share some of my favorite headshots images from over the years. I am so grateful I have a career I love and is always evolving. I was always a photographer, even as a kid. I started working in the motion picture during college, but photography was my passion. During my 15 years with SNL and Local 600, I had the opportunity to photograph Hoda Kotb, Maya Rudolph, Seth Meyers, Keenan Thompson, Will Forte, Amy Poehler, Elijah Wood, Halle Berry, the Olsen twins, and so many more I honestly forget.
I loved photographing people so much, I began shooting portraits in a spare bedroom in my home. I shot medium format film, had a darkroom in my basement, and a framing area along side it. So my house was basically a full working studio. In time, I moved into a loft at a local barn, then into a brand new plaza where my first real studio surfaced. In 2010, I decided to invest in a building and purchased Cornwall’s original firehouse. It still is the perfect location for me, and the studio doubles as an event venue I call The Darkroom.
It was in 2004 when I developed a signature lighting style that’s flattering on any face, produced soft shadows, and pops off the page. It’s a look I’m very proud of, and has never changed. You see it in nearly every photo I take. Some of my memorable studio sessions were renown mixologist Gary Regan, actor Wesley Mann, law enforcement analyst James Gagliano, motivational speaker Kaplan Mobray, actor Chris Wendelken, young actress Samara Conley, and Anthony Mancinelli– the world’s oldest barber.
